Short Description:

Introduction：MT6818 is an Angle encoder chip based on anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) principle, which can support both on-axis and off-axis installation. Compared with the application in the shaft, which needs to occupy an end face of the motor shaft, the off-shaft installation method is more flexible and more suitable for robot joints, AGV hub motors and other applications. MT6818 provides incremental ABZ, UVW output, absolute value PWM, and 3-wire / 4-wire SPI (absolute value can only be achieved by 1 pair of pole magnets or magnetic rings). MT6818 incorporates powerful calibration and compensation algorithms for INL linearity loss due to magnetic field distortion induced by the chip during off-axis installation.
